Yellow Fever

Yellov fever is the only disease where vaccination is required before entering several countries in Africa and South America. Yellow fever vaccination is recommended before entering several countries please refer to list of countries.

Vaccination: Yellow fever vaccine is a live virus vaccine, which has been used for several decades and is effective in protecting.

Protection: A single dose confers immunity lasting 10 years or more. Adults and children over 9 months can take this vaccine. A booster dose is needed every 10 years.

Side effects: Yellow fever vaccine generally has few side effects; fewer than 5% of vaccines develop mild headache, muscle pain, or other minor symptoms 5 to 10 days after vaccination.
