Loperamide

Indications: This medicine is an antiperistaltic agent used to treat diarrhoea.

Directions for use: 2 mg after each diarrhoea max 16 mg daily.

Cautions: If your diarrhoea does not improve within 48 hours or if you develop a fever, stop using this medicine and contact your doctor. IF YOU ARE TREATING YOURSELF, do not use this medicine if you have bloody diarrhoea or a fever.

Pregnancy: Experience is poor. May not be used.

Side effects: abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating; constipation; nausea.
