Chloroquine

Indications: This medicine is an antimalarial and amebicidal agent used to prevent and treat malaria. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Directions for use: for prevention 125 – 750 mg one a week depending of body weight.

Pregnancy: may be used.

Side effects: include mild headache, nausea, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, stomach cramps, or itching. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience vomiting, sensitivity to light, changes in vision or hearing, ringing in ears, sore throat or fever, personality changes, weakness, or seizures. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
