Injury Prevention
Collision
on the pist is the cause of most skiing injuries together with bad adjusted bindings.
Therefore the International Ski Federation (FIS) endorses a responsibility code
for skiers.
FIS rules on the slopes
- Always
stay in control and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects

You must not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above
- People
ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them

Observe and respect all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and
out of closed areas

You are obliged to help victims on the slope

In case of an accident you are obliged to identify yourself unless you are not
involved in the accident.
Additional;
incorrect adjusted binding causes many accident therefore:
- Buy
boots and bindings that have been set, adjusted, maintained and tested by a ski
shop that follows common standard job practices.
- Check
the binding og each ski before skiing. The binding must be properly adjusted to
the skier's height and weight.
